Dr. Richard Thompson is the head of the Medical Department of EK Health. He is responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising all Physician Reviewers, and provides oversight of managed care policies and procedures. In addition, he provides medical expertise to our nursing staff and to the clients as needed.
Dr. Thompson, a Board Certified by American Board of Preventive Medicine (Occupational Medicine), earned his Medical Degree from University of Minnesota.
With more than 35 years in medical practice, including 26 years specializing in occupational medicine and Workers’ Compensation, he also brings more than 15 years’ managing physicians and providing superior Utilization Review services.
