Dr. Paulo Franca brings more than 40 years of technology expertise to EK Health Services, including 11 years in Workers’ Compensation and 35 years as a professor for a leading University of California institution.
Dr. Franca has a long and successful track record of developing innovative information technology and services. A co-founder of EK Health’s sister firm, DataCare Corporation, a leading healthcare software technology firm, he holds numerous patents in information technologies and web-based services. He is experienced in managing a large computer service center and R&D center and has written computer programming textbooks available in English, Russian, Hebrew, Dutch, Portuguese
He earned a Ph.D. and M.Eng degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences from University of California at Berkeley. He completed his undergraduate work in computer science at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.
