Todd Brown has more than 24 years’ experience in workers’ compensation. As former executive director of the Texas Workers’ Compensation Commission, Mr. Brown managed the Commission’s $45.5 million budget, establishing the agency’s automation system and gaining recognition for his accomplishments in creating innovations and reporting efficiencies for the Commission.
As Director of Bill Review for EK Health, he is responsible for enforcing Utilization Review decisions in Medical Bill Review. The initiative – unique in the industry − uses automated safeguards to assure payers’ claims expenses are confined strictly to approved medical treatment of the work-related injury and nothing more.
With vast experience developing fee schedules and treatment guidelines in multiple states, Mr. Brown oversees the entire Medical Bill Review program and ensures all laws and regulations are followed.
Brown is past president of IAIABC Foundation and the Southern Association of Workers’ Compensation Administrators. He chaired the EDI Steering Committee of IAIABC. He graduated from IAIABC’s Worker’s Compensation College, Baylor University and the LBJ School of Public Affairs.
