Industry Expert Leads MSA Initiative
for This National Workers’ Compensation Managed Care Company

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--EK Health Services has hired Jake A. Reason as Vice President Medicare Set Aside (MSA) Services. Reason will lead the EK Health MSA initiative to help payers in the liability, auto and workers’ compensation industries comply with Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) laws.

 Reason, a recognized speaker on topics involving MSP statute compliance, has more than 11 years of experience working in the workers’ compensation industry, with seven of those years directly in the Medicare Set-Aside arena.

Prior to joining EK Health, Reason was a Medicare Set‐Aside executive for two large workers’ compensation managed care organizations, where he worked on more than 5,000 set-side allocations with many national insurers, employers and third-party administrators.

Reason also has worked in the workers’ compensation liability arena for a plaintiff’s law firm, and was employed by Prudential Insurance Company of America as a Senior Claims Examiner, working on a multi-state class action lawsuit.

A graduate of Pepperdine’s Graziadio School of Business & Management, Reason holds NASD Series 6, 7, and 63 securities licenses from the National Association of Securities Dealers and a State of California Life and Health Insurance Agent license.
