The world of Medicare Set Asides (MSAs) and Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) Compliance is both complex and in constant change. With advances in technology in the medical field, changes in legislation and processes, and the challenges of managing the settlement of a claim, Medicare Set-Asides is are critical component in developing a successful workers' compensation managed care program.

With a wealth of knowledge and experience on the topic, EK Health's Vice President of MSA Services, Jake Reason, will participate in a panel discussion for the 2019 Public Agency Risk Management Association (PARMA) 45th Conference & Expo. The event will be taking place February 10-13 at the ever popular Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, CA.

Joining Jake in the discussion will be Negar Matian, Managing Attorney at Matian Law Group, and DeAnna Soria, Risk Manager for City of Huntington Beach.

The session, titled 'The Art of Non-Submission' will focus on how to successfully implement a non-CMS submission program and when to use it. The panel will provide specific case studies from employers where the savings are actualized and also the legal and logistical issues involved. The session will take place on Tuesday, February 12, from 8:30AM-10:00AM.
